What kind of world do we live in or want to live in when it comes to politics and government in Canada? How do political ideas, interests, institutions, individuals and groups support or constrain our visions and our initiatives in policy-making and implementation? Who is really in charge when it comes to making decisions that affect our lives? These questions are the kind of questions that political scientists ask themselves.
POLS 1101 will introduce you to some major sub-fields in Political Science. These major sub-fields are Canadian Politics and Government, Public Policy and Public Administration, Law and Social Justice, and Political Thought.
